This range extender supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi network standard and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies supporting data transfer rates of up to 750 Mbps. Installing the RE205 has been greatly simplified, thanks to the built-in Intelligent Signal light, which lights up blue when you have a good connection to the existing Wi-Fi network. In addition to wireless connectivity, this range extender can also be configured as an access point using the built-in Fast Ethernet port. Once your network is set up, you can take advantage of a variety of advanced network management tools through the TP-Link Tether app available for iOS- and Android-based mobile devices.
